Link & Share Webinar Series

Significant disruptions to the education & training of medical students during the pandemic have led to increased isolation, social anxiety, and emotional distress.

This webinar series hopes to create a safe and interactive learning space for medical experts and students to connect and share their first-hand experiences and stories, such as:

Reflections and Innovations in Medical Education during the COVID-19 Pandemic

This webinar will be delivered by Deans of medical schools from three countries to provide an international perspective on the challenges faced, lessons learnt and innovations in medical education that arose out of the pandemic.

This will be followed by a post-webinar virtual speed networking session, open to medical students across the globe, to network with their international peers and share their experiences coping with changes in medical education and training during the pandemic.

The Omicron Variant: Australian and Indian Perspective

The new COVID-19 omicron variant is a highly transmissible but relatively less virulent strain causing tidal waves of infection across the globe despite increasing vaccination rates . Infectious disease experts from Australia and India will come together to answer questions posed by ANU medical students on various aspects of the disease - focussing on points of difference from previous variants. This will include presentation, indications for admission, management, and impact of vaccination.
