Research

Medicine and health research has high value to our society and is of strategic importance to our nation. The creation of new knowledge through research and its translation underpins improvements in the patient experience, health service delivery and the health of our nation. The research can be fundamental in nature or be applied, directly addressing clinical problems, public health issues or how health services are delivered.

The ANU Medical School is home to world-class researchers at the forefront of medical practice and discovery. We offer two postgraduate research degrees, the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Researchers have access to cutting-edge research facilities and work alongside influential and innovative academics from across our campus.
