The Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit (TORU)

All medical students at the ANU must undertake a research project as part of their degree. The Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit has been involved in supervising these students for a number of years. They are introduced to the research process, where they receive tutorials in research methods and given the opportunity to present their research to their colleagues. TORU also accepts students looking to undertake a higher degree through the MPhil or PhD pathway.

Students present their research projects at national and international meetings and are encouraged to publish in scientific journals.
