Happy retirement to Kirsten McCauley

After 11-years with the Medical School we bid a fond farewell and happy retirement to Kirsten McCauley.

Kirsten’s varied career path - in retail, real estate and entertainment industries –  led her to the ANU Rural Clinical School (RCS) in May 2011.

Over the years, Kirsten has grown to be one of the longest standing and most valued members of the RCS administration team, working tirelessly to support students with their rural placements and teaching. She is often referred to as the 'RCS glue' as well as the Sonia, PIPS and ClinConnect queen.

Kirsten’s grace and kindness to staff, students and the many GP practices she has dealt with over the years has often been recognised by those who have worked closely with her. The overwhelming response from colleagues towards her farewell (Kirsten will need a trolley to cart her gifts to the car) and the many well wishes she has received since announcing her retirement is testamant to how fondly Kirsten is thought of and how much she is appreciated at the School.

We will certainly miss Kirsten's caring nature and gorgeous smile, however, we are really looking forward to hearing of her retirement adventures. We’re sure there will be some sort of yarn involvement as Kirsten is an avid knitter and crocheter.
