The Eurobodalla region on the south coast of New South Wales encompasses three main towns; from the north to the south Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma and surrounding areas. The climate is temperate and the area abounds in natural beauty with pristine waterways, beaches and wonderful stretches of bush and national parks.

Batemans Bay is the largest retail and accommodation town in the Eurobodalla and is located approximately 2 hours from Canberra, 4 hours from Sydney, and 9 hours from Melbourne by road. Moruya is geographically the most central town and has the regions only commercial airport. There are currently twice daily flights to Sydney and services to Merimbula that connect with flights to Melbourne.

Many types of businesses operate in the area from general primary production and dairy farming to horse racing studs. Tourism is significant and there are many different styles of accommodation, tours covering many interests, and a plethora of restaurants and cafés. All waterway activities are popular. The local golf courses boast fantastic views, well-appointed club houses and welcome visitors. Both the Clyde River at Batemans Bay and the Wagonga Inlet at Narooma have thriving Oyster industries and many of the local small businesses provide local seafood.

There are a number of music festivals with the Blues Festival in Narooma and the Jazz Festival in Moruya, the longest running and possibly the best known. Local bands and musicians can be seen at the clubs and pubs throughout the year. Local galleries exhibit works by artists living in the area and Mogo & Bodalla have a wonderful array of speciality shops and friendly eateries as do Cobargo and Tilba. Eurobodalla Tourism has further information about the region.

The Eurobodalla has hospitals in Moruya and Batemans Bay and both provide acute and community health services. Narooma has a community health centre. Community Health Services cover the whole of the region and include ACAT services, a Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Team (MHDA), a community nursing service as well as sexual health clinics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists & dietitians. A dental service is also available at Moruya Hospital.

ANU Rural Clinical School Eurobodalla Unit is located on Pacific Street in Batemans Bay adjoining the Batemans Bay Hospital. Teaching is offered by highly skilled general practitioners and specialists in tandem with surgical and emergency department hospital rotations, general practice placements and community placements. The facility is modern and offers a large tutorial room, a well-appointed skills lab as well as a library and consulting rooms.
