Each year the ANU Medical School may award a scholarship to be known as the Peter Sharp Indigenous Medicine Scholarship. The Scholarship is to assist a student in undertaking the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) program at the ANU Medical School.
The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of the applicant’s understanding and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and the health issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the scholar meeting all eligibility requirements. The selection process will include a written application and interview.
The Scholarship shall be available for award each year to an applicant who:
- Is a Year 1 ANU medical student enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) program at the ANU;
- Remains enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) at the ANU.
