Each year the ANU Medical School may award a scholarship to be known as the John James Foundation Scholarship. The Scholarship is to assist Indigenous students to undertake the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) program at the ANU Medical School.
The Scholarship shall be available for award each year to a student who:
- is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
- has applied for and been allocated one of the two identified Indigenous places in the ANU Medical School;
- has enrolled in and remains enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) program at the ANU.
No formal application is required as eligible candidates will be automatically considered for the Scholarship.
