Australian Rotary Health Indigenous Health Scholarship

Overview

The Australian Rotary Health Indigenous Health Scholarship has the following objectives:

  • to assist Indigenous students to undertake a course in a wide range of health related professions;
  • to assist students to gain an education which will in turn enable them to use this education for the benefit of other Indigenous people in remote areas;
  • with the intention of training medical practitioners and other health professionals to work amongst other Indigenous people.

Provider

This is a co-operative program between Australian Rotary Health Research, Rotary clubs, some State or Territory Governments and the Commonwealth Government.

Eligibility

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who are enrolled in an appropriate approved medical or health related degree. Applicants must have already successfully completed at least one year of tertiary education.

Applications for the 2019 Australian Rotary Health Indigenous Health Scholarship will open on 1 December 2018.
