Melinda is a GP who works part time in clinical General Practice and part time at the Academic Unit of General Practice and with the Clinical Skills Team. She has trained at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Canberra, including a year as an Academic Registrar with the Academic Unit of General Practice.

Her main research area of interest is how vulnerable populations experience digital health and understanding the contributing factors towards the digital divide.
