Rheumatoid Arthritis (Grand Rounds)

This presentation will cover the complexities of managing rheumatoid arthritis in an older patient with medical co-morbidities and subsequent medication and disease sequealae.  

About the Presenter

Dr Peta Pentony completed an undergraduate double degree in Psychology and Science, followed by an Honours degree in Neuroscience at the Australian National University.  Dr Pentony then completed her medical degree at the Australian National University and trained as a junior doctor at both Canberra and Calvary Hospitals.  She completed her rheumatology fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Mid North Coast Arthritis Clinic, Coffs Harbour, and The Canberra Hospital.  Dr Pentony moved to the United Kingdom and completed a research fellowship in rheumatoid arthritis at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. She returned to Canberra in March 2018 to join Rheumatology ACT.  Dr Pentony is also a staff specialist at The Canberra Hospital.
