Welcome to the School of General Practice, Rural & Indigenous Health (SGPRIH)The School of General Practice, Rural & Indigenous Health (SGPRIH) comprises of the Academic Unit of General Practice and Community Health (AUGPCH) and the Rural Clinical School of the ANU Medical School. The mission of the SGPRIH is to provide leadership in community and rural health education and research through scholarship, innovation and partnerships to enhance the health of our region in the spirit of equity and social responsibility. Research To develop and conduct research programs in the six key priority theme areas:
The School has developed research activities that encompass child health, integrated service development, clinical research, individual routes to health and healing, social determinants of medical care, and scholarship in teaching and learning. In addition, the School has contributed to policy development with work done through Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute.
