Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery

Trauma & orthopaedic

Our trauma and orthopaedic research aims to improve the clinical outcomes of musculoskeletal conditions, such as repetitive stress disorder and back pain.

We are currently investigating a wide range of exciting areas. These include novel imaging techniques; joint kinematics, wear dynamics, bone regeneration and tendon and ligamentous injury; biomechanical analysis of surgical techniques; and database design and implementation.

We pride ourselves on providing a stimulating and productive environment for students, orthopaedic registrars and researchers by promoting multidisciplinary cooperation among orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, engineers, pathologists, biologists, mathematicians and physicists.
