Primary health care, public health care & health services

Our primary health care research include improving early diagnostic and therapeutic decision making by GPs, improving health literacy among the Australian community and the education of medical students and registrars in general practice.

Our public health care research focuses on the frequency and causes of diseases at the population level. Our current areas of interest include basic research into infectious diseases (particularly enteric and vector-borne pathogens), epidemiology and public education.

Our health services research aims to improve our understanding of how health systems are governed, and the relationship between this governance and the health of the community.
