Everything you need to know to begin your journey with the ANU Medical School

Begin your day asking current students 101 questions about life as an ANU science student and get involved with some hands-on experiments including visualising sound and programming robots.

You will meet some current Medical School students and science academics in some of our world-class teaching labs.

Bachelor of Health Science - What it offers

Next up we have an information session on our brand new degree - The Bachelor of Health Science.

The new Bachelor of Health Science degree goes beyond the biomedical and biotechnical perspectives of health. This new degree will have a strong focus on population health, health stewardship and health promotion.

The program will give students a solid foundation in medical sciences, research methods in studying health and illness, a multi-disciplinary understanding of health information and an understanding of emerging health problems both in Australia and around the world. Students will gain numeracy, research, communication and leadership skills and an ideal foundation to navigate the ANU Medical curriculum.  

Come along and see how the Bachelor of Health Science will prepare you for further studies in medicine, public health and allied health as well as careers in health services, social work and epidemiology.

Luckily you won't have to move for our next session. Kick your feet up to hear and discover how you can become a doctor by studying medicine at the Medical School at ANU.

Whether you are interested in surgery, general practice, research or education, this is an opportunity to speak to staff and current students to get information about the program and the experience. If you're considering a career in medicine make sure you join us to find out about the selection process for entry to the ANU Medical School. This presentation will cover medical places, the structure of the medical degree, typical weekly program and facilities that support students during the degree. You'll be able to find out everything you need to know about the ANU Medical School - including details about our PhD programs.
