Interviews and Offers

All interviews for Australian Government-funded places will be conducted in late September, in Canberra. The interview panel for the Rural Stream will include local community representatives as well as members from the Canberra-based interview panel. For international students, interviews will be conducted in the home country or region of the applicant whenever possible but telephone interviews may be arranged.

The interview will be structured and all interviewers will be trained.

Offers of a place in Medical School will usually be made in late October or early November; in some cases these may be provisional upon completion of a degree or upon taking up a Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship or Bonded Medical Place.
