Admission for International Applicants
Up to 20 places will be set aside annually for admission of International applicants i.e. applicants who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents. Students will be required to pay the full cost of their medical training. A recent fee schedule can be found at http://fees.anu.edu.au/ISF/index.asp.
International applicants must take either the GAMSAT or the US Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). For the purposes of admission to graduate-entry medicine in Australia, MCAT scores are valid for two years. eg. MCAT scores that will be accepted by Australian medical schools for 2009 entry are from the test period August 2006 to May 2008 inclusive. A minimum score of 8/8/8/M is required for those taking the MCAT. However, prospective students will be required to meet ANU requirements for English Language Tests if the language of instruction for their Bachelor degree was not English. Course credit will not be given for previous study.
